Weight Loss the Chinese Medicine Way

A lot of my patients are carrying too much weight and can’t seem to lose it no matter what they eat or how much exercise they do. Excess weight affects your heart health, increases the potential for diabetes, increases joint pain, increases sleep problems anxiety and depression rates and brings a whole raft of social and economic problems.

The Western approach to weight loss is caloric restriction diets (eat fewer calories), increase exercise and as a last resort lap-band surgery. There’s also shake diets, fad diets (like to guy who ate potatoes only for months to lose some weight).  All of these approaches have problems and many result in fat rebound once you stop them.

The Chinese medicine approach to weight loss is almost the exact opposite to what you’ve always bend told.  You can eat as much as you like, you don’t need to exercise more and you don’t need dietary supplements.

We use weight loss acupuncture and herbs to improve your digestion and metabolism and we advise you what you should and should not eat. We regularly see patients who follow our weight loss program losing 1-2 kg week, after week after week….all without having to starve themselves or exercise madly.
